As MAiD cases grow in complexity, clinicians are increasingly called upon to assess nuanced issues of capacity, consent, and cognitive decline. This session will explore two challenging clinical scenarios: the first will examine capacity assessments where mental health conditions are present, emphasizing the importance of thorough documentation and reference to the CAMAP guidance. The second case will focus on cognitive decline and the use of waivers of final consent in patients with dementia. Practical tools and clinical strategies will be shared to help participants apply best practices in real-world decision-making.$60.00
