As a Director at MAiDHouse and as a CAMAP faculty member\, Damian mentors healthcare providers including physicians\, nurse practitioners\, and social workers\, as part of an effort to build MAID-related capacities that better serve our communities. Therefore\, only MD and NP clinicians can register for this session. \n  \nFacilitators: \nElspeth Macewan MD \nOntario \nDr. Macewan is a semi-retired Ottawa psychiatrist\, hospice volunteer\, and a MAiD assessor since 2019. Dr. Green is clinical faculty at the University of British Columbia and the University of Victoria\, and she is the author of the internationally bestselling book THIS IS ASSISTED DYING\, a memoir about her first year providing assisted dying in Canada. \nAlexandra McPherson MD \nAlberta \nAlexandra McPherson is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Alberta. She works at the Cross Cancer Institute and with the Continuing Care Psychiatric Consulting Service. She is a MAID assessor and provider and has been involved with MAID since 2016.
